Charlie Kirby is a digital video editor/assistant editor with over 10 years experience in broadcast television, feature films and web production.  He has worked in a multitude of genres and is creative as well as technologically savvy.  He is based in the New York City area and has worked professionally in NYC, Hollywood and Seattle.

Charlie’s contributions as an editor/assistant editor have been seen on PBS and movie theaters across the globe.  Several of these productions have been nominated for Academy Awards and Emmy Awards.

Selected credits include: American Masters (Atlantic Records: The House That Ahmet Built), Patti Smith Dream of Life, Nature, Transamerica, Exposé: America’s Investigative Reports, Wide Angle, Andy Warhol: A Documentary Film, Lila Says, and World Focus. Clients worked with include:  Bill Moyers, Ric Burns, Shirin Neshat, Wayne Wang, and Katja Esson.

In addition to his work as an editor/assistant editor, Charlie has produced, directed and edited his own short films and documentaries for the web.  At last count, his YouTube channel has achieved over 932,000 hits.

Aside from video editing and being a film buff, some of his personal passions include recording music, playing guitar, creative writing (lyrics, poetry, screenplays), yoga, cooking and hiking.  These interests have been a source of inspiration throughout his life and professional career.
